Monday, Day 4

The swelling seems to be UP a little for some reason? Maybe I slept on it oddly or something. The strawberries are completely scabbed over which I'm happy about so I can wear a hat to hide the darkness a bit. Obviously the area around my eye has become a complete shiner, although the yellow and green are good signs that it may be fading quicker than I expected.

The darkening...

Well, the rug burn has dried over pretty well. It cracked a little last night in my sleep, but nothing too drastic. The swelling is still apparent above the eye, and the colors are darkening up even more, surrounding my entire eye area.

And now we have pretty colors!

Ok, halfway through the day, the black and blue is really starting to come out. The swelling is still fading, but the colors are getting intense. You can also see the rugburn is still nice and fresh.

Yee haw!

Day 2

In the AM on the second day since I had a meeting with the Drs. office floor, the swelling has gone down considerably. There is some darkening under my eye and a little darkening on the egg over my eye. The rugburn on the side of my face is dried up but still tender. The other big thing right now is my right hip. I don't want to sound like the elderly, but the weight of my upper body when I buckled over must have pinched or strained something in my hip. When I stand up, if I hit that pain just wrong, my entire right leg gives out.

Feeling a lot better for the most part, but still in some general pain, and I'm going to have to pay attention to that hip. Ouch.
