Vegas & WSOP plans...

I'm off to Vegas today for my first shot at the World Series of Poker. As I've said before, I'm planning to play Event #9 - $2,000 No Limit Hold Em. I've determined I'm not going to buy directly in however. My friend Phil and I are going tonight to check out the satellite situation and hopefully take down a table or two to earn our seats in this event. If not, they're doing nightly "Twilight" or "Second Chance" tournaments that sound interesting, and of course the general poker action all over Vegas will be stellar.

I feel pretty good about the upcoming weekend. We're also going to celebrate our friend Kriscina's (Phils wife) birthday so some general Vegas-style partying will be in order as well.

Off for now. I'll be posting reports tonight/tomorrow on how my run goes in poker as well as snapping a bunch of pictures as I'm certain to see every big name poker player under the sun over the weekend.
